Yeah, so Russia is super excited for the nominations of Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, and Kash Patel for F.B.I. Director. During a recent television broadcast, a Putin propagandist proclaimed Patel and Gabbard were Russia's "boy" and "girl"; absolutely geeked at the inclusion of such pro-Kremlin figures in charge of the U.S. intelligence community. Here is a transcription of his exchange with the interviewer:

Vladimir Solovyov: "When will they appoint our boy (Patel) to the F.B.I? Well, you all like him very much. And you all rub your hands and wait for him to come there and give everyone hell. I just want to see how Kash Patel turns the FBI into a museum of political repression on the next day of his appointment. And what about our girl (Gabbard)? We have our girl there."

Guest:"Intelligence?"

Solovyov: "Well you've forgotten about Tulsi Gabbard now!"

Guest: "Well with Tulsi Gabbard it's not that simple. It might not work because..."

Solovyov: "Why are you suddenly so doubtful?"

Guest: "What if it's not approved? (Meaning her approval to the cabinet)

Here's the video actually:

Over 100 national security professionals recently sent an open letter begging the Senate to conduct closed-door briefings on Gabbard before her confirmation vote due to her professed love of dictators and her past comments about Ukraine.

Additionally, a group of former Republican officials is urging senators to reject Kash Patel’s nomination to lead the FBI.

“The FBI is a cornerstone of our justice system, tasked with defending our nation against threats both foreign and domestic. Its director must be a person with strong ethics, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to enforcing the law. Kash Patel has repeatedly demonstrated that he is not this person," the letter stated.

The letter was signed by 23 people, including multiple former Justice Department officials from the Nixon and Reagan administrations and both Bush administrations, including Philip Allen Lacovara, a former Watergate prosecutor, and former acting Attorney General Stuart Gerson.

The letter also describes him as “motivated by revenge.” Here's the proof:

  • Patel has written a book called “Government Gangsters” which includes an appendix of Democratic officials he thinks must be held “accountable.”

  • “Patel has said he will close FBI headquarters on his first day in office and convert it into a ‘Deep State museum.’

  • Threatened to criminally investigate members of the J6 committee.

  • “He has repeatedly vowed to go after individuals on perceived enemies lists. This is a vision of the FBI as an authoritarian weapon for pursuing his and Trump’s grievances.”

Trump's Team is defending his nomination saying “This is about stopping violent crime, stemming the fentanyl crisis, and enforcing the law against criminals so Americans can have safety and security. That’s what Kash Patel will do.”

Sure.
